RESOLVED by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, THATthe sum of six thousand dollars be and the same is hereby appropriated our of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated for the purpose fo defraying the expenses of a certain delegation of Chippewa Indians and their Interpreter in coming to Washington City upon business of their tribe with the government of the United States and their expenses whilst engaged in such business in the City and on their return home the money to be paid into the hands of the Chiefs of said delegation or to an agent to be appointed by the Secretary of War at his option to conduct said Indians on the way home as far as Detroit who shall be allowed a reasonable compensation for such services out of the money appropriated as aforesaid.
