AN ACT to amend an act, entitled “An act to Incorporate the St. Clair Turnpike Road Company,” approved, February 15, 1833.

Part of said act repealed.
Sec.[Section] 1. Be it enacted by the people of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly, That so much of the act to incorporate the St. Clair Turnpike Road Company, approved, February 15, 1833, to which this is an amendment, as requires the corporation to commence their operations within two years after the passage of said act, and complete the same within four years, be, and the same is hereby repealed.2
Approved, Feb. 12, 1835.
1John D. Hughes introduced HB 171 in the House of Representatives on January 28, 1835. On January 29, the House referred it to a select committee. The select committee reported back the bill on January 30 with an amendment, in which the House concurred. The House passed the bill as amended on February 2. The Senate concurred on February 9. On February 12, the Council of Revision approved the bill and the act became law.
