Sec[Section] 1. Be it enacted by the people of the State [of] Illinois, represented in the General Assembly That the fourth section of the act in addition to an act regulating the salaries,
fees [and] compensation of the several officers and [?] therein mentioned; approved January 23 [1827?] be, and the same is hereby repealed [and?] the sixth section of the act, which [repealed?] the above mentioned fourth section, is hereby [revised?]. This act to take from the passage.

1Nathaniel Buckmaster introduced HB 27 in the House of Representatives on December 16, 1835. On December 22, the House referred the bill to a select committee.
The select committee reported back the bill on December 28 with a substitute,
in which the House did not concur. The House then referred the bill to the Committee
on the Judiciary. The Committee on the Judiciary reported back the bill on January
1, 1836, with an amendment, in which the House concurred. On January 4, the bill
came to a vote, and the House rejected it.
