Sec[Section] 1. Be it enacted by the people of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly, That the surveys and Town plat of the Town of Boonville, in the County of Pike, as filed and recorded in the Recorders Office for the County of Pike, be, and the same is hereby vacated and rendered null and void. Provided, That this act shall not be so construed, so as to affect any rights acquired under said survey and plat of said Town, or any sale of any Town lots made in said Town either by the former or present proprietor.
Sec 2. That the present proprietor of said Town be, and he is hereby authorized and empowered to re-survey said Town, lay off the same into lots, and file a plat thereof in the Recorders Office, in the manner now prescribed by law; acting and doing as though the same had never been laid off into a Town or a plat thereof filed: and the Town thus laid out by him shall be styled and known as the town of “Perry”
