Sec[Section] 1 Be it enacted by the people of the state of Illinois represented in the General Assembly; That William M. Evans of Morgan County, be, and he is hereby authorized to sell the north west quarter of the south east quarter of section numbered seventeen, in Township numbered sixteen north, of Range number eleven west of the third principal meridian, which was lately the property of James Evans Senr deceased, on such terms as the said William M. Evans may think the most proffitable, and advantageous to the heirs of the said James Evans Senr deceased.
Sec 2. That previous to the sale of said land the said William M. Evans shall give notice, in some newspaper printed in this state of the time, and place said land shall be offered for sale, at least four weeks before the day of said sale.
Sec 3. That whenever the said William M Evans shall obtain the money by the sale of the said land as aforesaid, it shall be his duty to purchase other land in the names of the several heirs of the said James Evans Senr deceased.
This act to be in force from and after its passage.
