Sec[Section] 1. Be it enacted by the people of the state of Illinois represented in the General Assembly; That so much of the “act to incorporate the colleges therein named’ approved February 9th 1835, to which this is an amendment, as designates the College at Alton by the name of “The Trustees of the Alton College of Illinois” be, and the same is hereby repealed, and that hereafter the said institution shall be styled and known by the name of “The Trustees of Shurtleff College of Alton Illinois.”
