Sec[Section] 1 Be it enacted by the people of the state of Illinois represented in the General Assembly; That hereafter there shall be no fee or sum of money taxed or collected in the nature of a docket or attorney’s fee in any civil suit either at law or in chancery, any law or usage to the contrary notwithstanding.
