Sec[Section] 1. Be it enacted by the people of the state of Illinois Represented in the General Assembly That the present proprietors of the Town of Exeter in the County of Morgan are hereby authorized and empowered to alter or lay out anew said Town, and to make a new plat thereof and cause the same to be recorded, or to alter and amend the old plat so as to correspond with such alteration in said Town as the said proprietors thereof may make in pursuance of this act. Provided that no alterations shall be made and no powers hereby granted shall be exercised by the said proprietors without first obtaining the consent of all individual owners of lots in said Town, which consent shall be in writing signed by the owners of lots in said Town respectively, and shall be recorded in the Recorders office of said County at the expense of the said proprietors

Sec 2. This act to take effect from and after its passage
