Sec[Section] 1 Be it enacted by the people of the State of Illinois Represented in the General Assembly
That hereafter every real real possessory, Ancestral or mixed action, or writ, of right, brought, within the time limited by the act to which this is an amendment, for the recovery of any lands[,] tenements, or hereditaments, of which any person or persons may be possessed, which said possession may be by residence thereon by such person or persons or his, her[,] or their authorized Agent. And it is hereby enacted and declared that when such persons or persons, his, her, or their Agent is or are possessed, by actual occupancy, and enclosure of a less quantity than one quarter Section, he[,] she[,] or they shall be deemed and taken to be in possession of the whole quarter Section provided such person or persons so possessed of said land as aforesaid shall have a title in Law or equity, from this State or the United States, or from any public officer or other person authorized, by the laws, of this State, to sell such land for the nonpayment of taxes, or from any Sheriff[,] Marshall, or other person authorized to sell such land, on execution or under any order[,] Judgement[,] or decree of any Court of RecordThat so much of the act to which this act is an amendment, as requires possession by the actual residence of such person on the same be, and the same is hereby repealed

This act to take effect from and after its passage
