sect[section] 1 Be it inacted by the people of the state of Illinois repressented in the general asembley that hearafter each and evrey state treasurey shal give bond, and a duplicate Bond with good and sufficiant1 securities, in the sum of fifty one hundred thousand Dollars, with a clause inserted that if at any time thereafter additional security Be required, the same shall be given: the necessity of which additional Bond and duplicate Bond shal Be left to the governor Each and every Bond and duplicate heareby required when made out and signed, shal be presented to the governor and Judges of the supreme court for inspection and approval and if approved of By the governor and Judges or By the governor and aney two of the Judges the original shal Be deposited in the office of the secretary of state, and the duplicate copy in the office of the auditor of public accounts said Bond or Bonds and duplicates shal in all other respects, be drawn as required By the law. so much of the law now in force as requires the treashurer to give bond in the sum of fifty thousand Dollars is hereby repealed, provided however that whenever a vacancy

shal happen in the office of treasurey treashurer either By death[,] resignation[,] or other wise, the governor, lieuteneant governor, and auditor of public accounts shal approve of the sufficiency of the security this act to take efect from and after it pasage
