Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, Represented in the General Assembly, that the act requiring the fund Commissioners, to pay Certain money upon the stock
authorised to be subscribed to the State Bank of Illinois, and Bank of Illinois at Shawneetown, approved March 4th 1837. be and the same is hereby Repealed.

1William W. Happy from the Committee on Internal Improvements introduced HB 59 in the House of Representatives on July 15, 1837. On July 18, the House referred the bill to the Committee on Finance,
of which Abraham Lincoln was a member. The committee reported back the bill without amendment on July 21,
and the House then decided against reading the bill a third time.
