Second section of act amended.
Sec.[Section] 1. Be it enacted by the people of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly, That the second section of an act to provide for the election of probate justices of the peace, approved, March 4th, 1837, be so amended as to require the election of the said justices to be held in the several counties at the time and places where the elections for the clerks of the county commissioners courts are held under the provisions of the aforesaid act.2

1William L. D. Ewing introduced HB 62 in the House of Representatives on July 15, 1837. The House passed the bill on July 20. The Senate concurred on July 21. On July 21, the Council of Revision approved the bill and the act became law.
