An Act Supplemental to an act entitled “an act to amend an act for the construction of the Illinois and Michigan Canal” approved Jany 9th, 1836.

Sect[Sectioni] 1. Be it enacted by the people of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly That the Judge of the Circuit Court within whose Circuit the said canal lands are situated shall have power, and is required at any time whenever a vacancy shall happen, by death[,] resignation[,] removal[,] or otherwise in the office of the Commissioners appointed by said Judges under the ninth section of the said act, to appoint others in their stead. A copy of such appointment shall be filed & recorded for the Clerk ^by^ said circuit Judge with the Clerks of the Circuit Courts in each County in which any of said Canal Lands lie.
This Act to take effect from and after its passage.
