Sec[Section] 1 Be it enacted by the people of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly That the Justices of the Peace in this State shall have jurisdiction within their respective counties to hear and determine all actions of trover and trespass on personal property, where the damages, or amount claimed, shall not exceed Fifty dollars.
