officers and persons therein mentioned” approved February 19th 1827.
sec[Section] 1st
Be it Enacted by the People of the state of Illinois represented in the General assembly that so much of the act Entitled “an act regulating the salaries fees and compensation
of the several persons therein named mentioned approved February 19th 1827 as provides for the salaries ^and fees^ of ^the attorney general and^ Circuit attornies be and the same is hereby repealed
sec 2d
That the salaries of states attornies shall hereafter be four hundred dollars per annum payable quarterly in the same manner
that states attornies have heretofore been paid
Sec 3d That in addition to the above salary the following fees shall hereafter be allowed
to the attorney general and Circuit states attornies to be paid from the County Treasury of Each County upon the certificate of the clerk
of the Circuit Court of Each County of the Correctness of t the Bill which may be presented by the states attorney or attorney general, namely
| Drawing Each indictment | $ 2.00 | |
| Arguing Each motion | $ 2.00 | |
| Trying Each defendant where the offence is punishable by fine or imprisonment ^in the county jail^ | $ 5.00 | |
| Trying Each defendant where the offence is punishable by fine & imprisonment in the penetentiary | $10.00 |
Sec 4th
The salary of the attorney general shall be hereafter be four hundred and seven fifty dollars per annum payable quarterly in the same manner as the salaries of attorney
generals have heretofore been paid
This act to take effect from and after its passage
