Sec[Section] 1 Be it enacted by the people of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly, That from and after the passage of this act all that part of the county of Fulton, on which the town of Viena is situated and which is embraced in the recorded plat, thereof, shall hereafter be, known by the name of Astoria: Provided, however, that the change of the name of said town, shall in nowise affect any contracts or conveyances heretofore made or entered into, or any other Legal transaction or business whatever.
This act to take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
