An Act declaring certain Offices incompatible.
Be it enacted by the people of the state of Illinois represented in the General Assembly, That from and after the first Monday in August, in the year of our Lord eighteen
hundred and thirty nine, no Sheriff or Coroner shall receive, hold or exercise the
office of a Justice of the peace: Nor shall any county commissioner recive, hold or exercise the office, or offices of County Treasurer, Sheriff or ^,^ Coroner or school Commissioner, in any County in this state.
