Sec[Section] 1 Be it enacted by the people of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly, That William Jackson of McHenry county, be, and he is hereby authorized to insert in his name the letter M. between William and Jackson, so that his name will read as follows, to-wit: William M. Jackson; by which name he shall hereafter be known and designated by and from his fellows, both in law and equity. This act shall take effect from and after its passage.
