A. Bill for an act amendatory of an act, “concerning the public Revenue” approved
February 26th 1839.
Sec.[Section] 1 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois represented in the General Assembly. That the assessors required to be appointed by the act to which this an amendment
be allowed till the first day of June annually to make their returns instead of the
first day of May, as is now required by law
Sec. 2. That the Collectors for the several counties in this state appointed or to be appointed under the Revenue law be allowed to have a deputy, the
Collectors being in all cases responsible for the acts of such deputy
