Sec.[Section] 1. Be it enacted by the people of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly, That the several Colleges mentioned in “an act to incorporate the Colleges therein
named,” approved February 19, 1835, shall be permitted to select the number of acres
of land which they a
re therein permitted to hold in perpetuity from any lands which they may at any time
own; and the time given to said Colleges to dispose of any other real estate granted,
donated[,] or devised to either of them and mentioned in the twelfth section of said act, is
hereby prolonged fifteen years.
So much of the provisos to the ninth and twelfth sections of said act as conflict
with this act are hereby hereby repealed.
