Sec[Section] 1 Be it enacted by the people of the State of Illinois Represented in the General Assembly, That the Clerks of the Supreme, Circuit and County Commissioners Courts, shall be allowed a fee of fifty cents for
taking the proof or acknowledgment for any deed or conveyance, and affixing their
official seal thereto.
Sec 2 That the Clerks of county commissioners courts shall not charge any fees for its

the committee reported the bill without amendment. On January 28, the House passed
