Sec[Section] 1. Be it enacted by the people of the state of Illinois Represented in the General assembly That any person or persons who hold any certificate or certificates for any Lot or Lots purchased of the State in the City of Chicago in the year eighteen hundred and Thirty Six shall be entitled to possession of said Lots and shall have a perfect Title in Law against all persons or parties except the State
Sec 2 Any Justice of the Peace of said City shall have jurisdiction of any suit growing out of said Lots between individuals. Provided always that nothing herein contained shall be so construed as to alter or impair the right of the state to said Lots in any manner whatever
