Sect[Section] 1t Be It Enacted By The people of the State of Illinois represented In The General Assembly That The trustees of The Charleston seminary Shall Hold their offices untill the 1s Monday in may Next & Untill their successors are Elected & Qualified
sec/12n That An Election shall Be held at the Seminary On The 1 Monday in may next ^& Every Four Years thereafter^ for Seven Trustees to Said Seminary who Shall hold their offices for Four years & until their successors are Elected & Qualified.
sec/13rd Every person Who Shall Have Subscribed & paid Five dollars or Who May hereafter Subscribe
& pay five Dollars shall Be Entitled to a vote for said Trustees & for Every Additional
Ten Dollars so Subscribed & paid or Which may hereafter Subscribed & paid an additional
vote Which right to vote may Be Transfered & the Trustees Shall Keep a record of the Names of the Donors & The Amount donated
& The Names of the persons that such priviledge

sec/14th The Trustees shall have power To Make Such rules & regulations in regard to the manner
of Holding Elections & Determining upon who shall Be Elected As They May Think proper

section 5th The Seminary Shall not Be Used As1 a House of publick worship, & No pupil Excluded on account of His Religious opinions
section6th The School Commissioner of Coles County Is hereby authorised & requred to pay to the order of the president & Trustees of the Charleston Seminary Two hundred dollars per year out of the Distributive share of the State Fund for
purposes of Education to the County of Coles & the said Trustees Are hereby Authorised to Expend Said Money In such manner as They may Think proper for the Use & Benefit
of said seminary
section7 Two thirds of the Trustees shall Have Power To Expel any member of said Board of
Trustees for Mal Conduct & Fill any vacancy which May Occur for this From any cause whatever
