Sec.[Section] 1. Be it enacted by the people of the state of Illinois represented in the General Assembly. That the Commissioners of the Illinois and Michigan Canal, be and they are hereby authorized to sell to the President and Trustees of the town
of Peru, for such price, and on such terms as they may deem proper all that part of the north west fractional quarter of section number twenty one which lies north of the Illinois river, in Township 33 North Range 1 East of the third principal meridian
Sec. 2. The Commissioners aforesaid are hereby authorized to appoint one or more appraisers
to appraise the value of the said fraction if they deem such appraisment necessary
