AN ACT to repeal “An act incorporating the Northern division of the American Bottom.”

Act repealed
Sec.[Section] 1. Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly, That the “Act incorporating the northern division of the American Bottom,” approved, March 2d, 1839, be, and the same is hereby, repealed.

On December 21, Robert Smith, a member of the select committee, introduced HB 48 in the House. On January 2, 1840, the House passed the bill. On January 27, the Senate passed the bill. On January 27, the Council of Revision approved the bill and the act became law.
