Sec[Section] 1 Be it enacted by the people of the State of Illinois, Represented in the General Assembly, That the act entitled “an act to revive an act to locate a state road from Thornton to Lockport, Plainfield and Black^ber^ry Creek,” approved February [?] a[?] approved February 16, 1839, be revived, and that, time named in the said ^act^ for the performance of the duties therein named, be continued and extended until
the first day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty.

1On December 20, 1839, Gholson Kercheval in the House of Representatives presented the petition of citizens of Will County, requesting the revival of a law for a state road. The House referred the petition
to a select committee. In response to this petition, Kercheval of the aforesaid select
committee introduced HB 67 in the House on December 28. On January 14, 1840, the
House tabled the bill.
