Sec.[Section] 1. Be it enacted by the people of the state of Illinois, Represented in the General Assembly, That the stockholders of the Calhoun Coal and mining Company, may locate a portion of the land authorized in the act to which this is an amendment, in the county of Monroe with the privilege of building a Rail Road from their coal mines to the banks of the Mis^sis^sippi river, the right of way to be procured in the same manner as is now provided in the act to obtain the right of way and for other purposes, approved February 28th 1833.
Sec. 2. The capital stock of said company at any regular meeting of the stock-holders may be increased to one hundred thousand dollars; which capital, when paid in, shall have power to use their surplus capital in the same manner as is provided in the act granted to the Illinois Insurance company, approved March 2nd 1839.
