Resolved, That the Committee on Post offices & Post roads, be instructed to enquire into the expediency of giving to the Post Master at Northumberland, Pennsylvania, a fixed Salary in lieu of the com pensation at present received, the said office being a distributing office, and the per centage under the existing laws being inadequate to the labor per formed.
