Resolved that the Committee on Post offices and Post Roads be discharged from the
further consideration of the petition of Landon G. Chambers of Va asking to have refunded
to him certain monies lost in its passage through the mail.
Resolved that the Committee on Post offices and Post Roads be discharged from any
further consideration of the subject to them referred relating to the sending of letters
and newspapers free of postage to those engaged in the Navy of the U.S. in the Gulf
Squadron on off the coast of Mexico— the same being already provided for by law
