Resolved That the committee on Post offices & Post Roads be instructed to enquire into the expediency of establishing a mail rout from Hillsboro, Scott county to Raleigh, Smith County Miss. and the establishment of a post office at the house of Asa Myers in the said county of Scott, and that they report by bill or otherwise.
And also, that they enquire into the expediency of granting to the Post Master Genl. authority to branch the mail stage route from Jackson Miss. to Gainsville and Livingston [Ala.?] at or east of Hillsboro, so that one branch pass thro’ Philadelphia in the county of Scott ^Neshoba^ and DeKalb in the county of Kemper, and the ^other^
