To the Congress of the United States.
Your petitioners citizens of the Counties of Barry ^Jasper^ and Newton, respectfully represent that a mail route from Cassville the county Seat
of Barry county, and
^to^ the town of Sarcoxsie in Jasper County, would be of great public utility and would benefit a large and
intelligent population, in each of those counties, and would well pay the expense
of the route.
The route from Cassville to Sarcoxsie would intersect the route from Sarcoxsie to Blythes [ville?] in Newton
^Jasper^ County, and would thus make a cross route through one of the best populated districts
in South West Missouri
We therefore pray that your honorable body will pass a law creating Such route and
so as in duty bound we will every pray &c.
Respectfully YoursSigners Names | ||
