To the Honorable the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States
The petition of the undersigned citizens of Berks and Montgomery Counties in the Commonwealth
of Pennsylvania
Respectfully Sheweth that owing to the change of circumstances and various other causes
they labour under disadvantages for want of a Mail Route from Boyerstown to New Hanover,
^Frederick &^ Schwenks’ Store to Perkiomen Bridge, a draft or plot whereof is herewith presented
And that if the proposed route from Boyerstown to Perkiomen Bridge were Established
there would be many advantages and conveniences conferred on the citizens of the said
Counties and the public generally which it is impossible to Enjoy under the present
arrangement of the mail routes in their vicinity, That said Boyerstown which is in
said county of Berks and the other above mentioned places which are in said county
of Montgomery, are connected with routes already Established, but that they would
be productive of many benefits which they are at present incapable of producing if
they were formed into a route as above proposed
They therefore humbly pray your honourable bodies to Establish by Law a Mail route
as above mentioned from Boyerstown by New Hanover, ^Frederick^ and Schwenks’ Store to Perkiomen Bridge a distance of miles And[?]
