To the Senate and house of representatives of the united states
Your memorialists residents of the counties of ^Monroe &^ Lawrence and state of Indiana respectfully represent unto your honerable bodies that there is no direct mail rout from Salem in Washington county in said state by the way of Leesville in said county
of Lawrence to the town of Bloomington in Monrow County in said state that the publick interest greatly require that such mail rout should be established forthwith and that a post office be established at Mount Carmel
in the county of washington and one at Fairfax in the county of Monrow on [said?]
