We the undersigned Citizens of Dixen and upon the line of the contemplated mail Rout to Rock Island in Rock I^s^land County Ill by the way of Prophets Town in Whiteside County Portland Shanon Green River in Henry
County and Camden in Rock Island County and place of destination Sixty Eight miles
(of rout in which only one of the above named offices is supplied by an Easern mail Rout). Prey that you will accommadate them with a mail Twise a week in a four Horse Coach suitable for the convenience of the traveling public
This being the s^h^ortest and Best Rout from Dixon to Rock Island the Road being good at all seasons
