To the Hon. the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States in Congress assembled
The undersigned petitioners, Citizens of the Counties of Putnam, Owen, Monroe and Lawrence in the State of Indiana—Respectfully represent that the public interest would be promoted by Establishing a Post Rout from Putnamville in Putnam County to Springville in Lawrence County—touching at the ^following^ intermediate points to—wit The Cataract Mills, Spencer ^and^ White Hall in Owen County, and Stanford in Monroe Couty. They therefore pray the Establishment of Said Rout. December 13th 1847
