To the Honorable Congreess of the United States, your petitioners Citizens of the Northwestern part of the
State of Missouri would respectfully represent to your Honorable Body, that we laborr under great inconveniences & trouble for want of Mail facilities with the Middle
& Southern part of the State of Iowa. And for a remedy there for, we would pray your
Hons to establish a post rout from Kirksville in Adair County Missouri by the way of
Lancaster, Schuyler County Missouri, to Fort Desmoin in Polk County Iowa.
And we as in duty bound would ever pray
