Your memorialists residents of the County of Lawrence and State of Indiana respectfully represent unto your honorable bodies that there is no direct mail rout from Salem in Washington County in Said State by the way of Leesville in said County of Lawrence to the town of Bloomington in Monroe County in Said State. That the public interest greatly require that Such mail rout should be established forthwith & that a post office be established at Mount Carmel in the County of washington and one at Fairfax in the County of Monroe on Said rout for which we will ever pray &c
