To The Hon.The Senate, and house of Representatives, in Congress assembled,
Your petitioners, citizens of the County of Moultrie, and State of Illinois, respectfully represent, that Sullivan is the County Town of said County, which is a new and flourishing County, ^[?]^ and that the only mail rout to Sullivan, is a special rout, once a week from Shelbyville, which is South west from Sullivan, therefore, the undersigned petitioners, would respectfully pray, that your honourable body would grant us a post rout from Charleston, in Coles County, via, Sullivan, and Lovington, to Decatur, in Macon County, the mail to be carried once a week on horse back, and as in duty bound your petitioners will ever pray &c,
