The Undersigned your petitioners would respectfully represent that a mail route is necessary for the accommodation of the Inhabitants living upon and near the following Route: commencing at S^t charles Kane County Illinois from thence to Fairfield, South side of Ohio Grove, Huntleys Grove, Broadies Grove, Jefferson Grove, White Oak Grove, & Daysville to Oregon Ogle County Illinois. The distance is about Fifty five miles. That there is but two Post offices now on said route. The Kite River Office which is supplied by the subscription from white Rock office Ogle Co. and Lynn which is supplied by Postmaster Mr Shaw in De Kalb Co. That the Inhabitants on this route have suffered serious inconvenience & trouble by reason of the non establishing of a Mail route as above set forth and Post offices at more convenient distances. Most of the Inhabitants on said route living from Ten to Twenty miles from any Post office, and your petitioners would request that a mail route may be established as soon as may be, on said Route & as in duty &c
