To the Honorable, the Congress of the United States:
The undersigned, citizens in part of the counties of Madison & Wayne, beg leave to represent to your honorable body, that they labor under great inconveinence for the want of Mail facilities,
The section of country which we now ask Congress ^to establish^ one or more Post Offices, is densely settled, and lays between Fredericktown and Greenville, a distance of over 40 miles, from point to point, through one or the other of these offices we are compelled to transact our correspondence.
We therefore pray that Congress may establish a new mail route from Fredericktown, in Madison County, to Lowndes P O, in Wayne county, and that a Post office be established at the house of Davalt Bollinger in Wayne county, to be called Castor, and that Davalt Bollinger be appointed P. M.
And your petitioners will ever pray &c.
