To the Honorable the Senate and House of Representatives in Congress Assembled,
The undersigned Citizens of the Parish of Bossier, State of Louisiana, respectfully represent, that they are in great need of a Mail rout, to run from Belle-vue, the County Site of Bossier Parish, to the town of Minden, of the Parish of Claiborn, adjoining said Parish of Bossier in the same state. they respectfully represent that the establishment of a horse mail, to run between these two points weekly, (a distance of not more than Sixteen miles) would contribute greatly to the convenience and interest of the Citizens of the two Parishes, connecting, at the same time, the mail line, by land, through the western states, benefiting the public generally and as they believe, increase the emoluments of the general P. Office, and the undersigned will ever pray &c.
