To the Honorable, the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,
The undersigned inhabitants of the State of Illinois would respectfully represent that a mail route is much needed, and would be of essential service to your petitioners and the public in general, Commencing at the Post Office, Lasalle, in the Town of Peru in the State of Illinois, running by Troy Grove & ovid Post Office, Dewey’s Mills in Inlet Grove, La Fayette Grove, Kelly's Mills in White Oak grove, Stillman and Kishwauka, and terminating at Rockford in the State of Illinois.
