To, the Congress of the United States
We the undersigned Citizens of Pennsylvania respectfully represent, That we labor under great inconvenience and disadvantage for the want of a post Road ^Rout^ from Providence in Luzerne County to the Milford & Owego turnpike in Pike County a distance of some thirty miles, we would most Respectfully ask your honourable bodies to pass a law authorizeing a post route from those points, it would pass through the Township of Jefferson in Luzerne County where at present they have no mail facilities ^and Hollisters Ville in Wayne Co^ and would shorten the distance from Wilkesbarre to New York city some ten miles, and your petitioners as in duty bound will ever pray
