To the Hon. Congress of the United States
Jany 19th 1848
We the undersigned would respectfully request that your Hon. body would establish
a Post Route, Running from Farmington to Mc Comb through Fairview, Ellisville and
Virgil, as often as three times a week and return, and your petitioners believe that that such a route would pay more than the expences, as it runs through a thickly Settled and highly cultivated country and that the amount of Business done at the
intermediate Towns loudly calls for the establishment of Such a route and as in duty
bound your petitioners will ever pray
Ellisvile Fulton Co IllsJany 19th 1848
