To the Hon; the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States in Congress
assembled,
The undersigned Petitioners residing in the County of Crawford Ohio, Would respectfully
beg leave to suggest to your Honorable body that in our opinion, the public utility
and probably the economy of the Post office Department requires that there be at your
present Session some remoddling of the Mail Routes in this Vicinity
And firstly that a new Route be established form Bucyrus in the County of Crawford
to Republic in the County of Seneca, to embrace the Broken Sword, Lykens, and Bloomville
Offices a distance of twenty two miles twice a week, the Route from Bucyrus to Tiffin
be discontinued and the Post Office at Poplar (the only one left without supply by
this arangement) be supplied by Special Route
That Route No [272?] from Republic to Uper Sandusky to be continued as here tofore except that the bloomville
Offices be left out thereby Saving four miles each trip, as well as the Special Route
from Lykens to Broken Sword which would ^be^ supersceded by the new Route
