To the Honourable Congress of the United States of America assembled at the City of Washington.
Th undersigned Citizens of the County of Defiance and state of Ohio, Pray Your Honourable Body to pass an act establishing a post Road from Tiffin in Senaca County Ohio via Bascum & Rome in said county; and Risdon and Van Buren in Hancock county thence along the road leading along the south Shugar Ridge to Abraham Baughmans in Putnam County, thence to Medary in said Putnam county, thence the road leading to Defiance in Defiance co: you Petitioners would represent that that there is no postoffice from Van Buren afore named to Defiance except Medary the distance being 44 miles and the Medary office is supplied from the south and that there is no route runing East and west through a Teritory of 27 Miles between the Blanchard fork of the Auglace river to the Maume river whilest the ^w^hole distance is Setled; for this your Petitioners is in Duty bound to pray,
