Hon N BoydenSir
A Petition will be formd to Congress from Mocksville N.C. for a change in mail rout No 2884, from Salem via. Mocksville to Statesville. The same to leave Lexington Via. Fulton, Mocksville, County Line & oak Forrest to Statesville, and discontinue the present rout from Salem as to the proposed change it will not effect the office at this place in any way whatever. The citizens of Mocksville are extremely anxious to have the change made and that it will greatly facilitate the mail to that place hoping you will use your influence in regard to this matter.
