We the undersigned having ascertained that there has been a mail Rout Established from Fairfield in Jefferson County to Lancaster in Keokuk County would respectfully represent to your Honor that a continuation of said rout to sigourney in Keokuk County and from thence to Watters & Warsons Mill in Washington County & thence to Iowa City the Capital of this state would be of vast importance to us There fore we would respectfully request that a continuation of sd rout be granted, knowing as we do the inconvenience which we labor under in obtaining our Mails as we could receive our Eastern Communications some Two Weeks sooner by said rout and that if your Honor should see fit to establish or continue sd rout that there be a post office ^Established^ at Watters & Warsons Mill in Washington County By Granting the above petition you will confer a great favor.
