The undersigned inhabitants of the State of Illinois would respectfully represent that a mail rout is mutch needed and would be of essential service to your petitioners and the publick ingeneral Commenceing at the LaSell Post Office in the Town of Peru in the State of Illinois running by Troy Grove and Ovid Post office Deweys Mills in Inlet Grove Lafayette Grove Kelleys mills in white Oake Grove Stillmans and Kishwakie and terminating at Rockford in the State of Illinois
The importance of conecting the two places Peru and Rockford by a mail rout is visable to all acquainted with the country besides the advantages to be derived to the aforenamed places along the route by the recepte of a regulaur mail one of sufficient importance to require[...?] it
Your petitioners would therefore request the passage of an act Establishing a mail rout from LaSell Post Office aforesaid passing through and by the aforenamed places and to terminate at Rockford a distance of seventy miles and authoriseing the carrying of a triweekley mail in a two horse post Coches along Said rout And as in duty bound will ever Pray
