State of Ohio Williams County Jan. 1848.
We the undersigned, citizens of the state & Co. aforesaid, do respectfully ask Congress
now in session to establish a mailroute from West-Unity in Williams Co, O. to Angola,
Steuben Co. Ia, to go from West-Unity to Montpelier thence west till it strikes the
Maumee & Angola State-Road thence west on said road to & by Spring-Lake Post-Office
& Ferrier’s Mill on to Angola, which will connect a break prevent the delays of Mailmatter by being sent on direct & not as at present sent
in a different direction & then back again
